As usual, here's my take on the recipe. For the original go here and for an interesting read there's one of my Dinner pages
500g Flour
5g Salt
5g Dried Yeast (or half a packet in CT)
225g Water
150g Plain Yoghurt
- Mix the flour, salt and yeast in a bowl.
- Add the water and yoghurt.
- Knead by hand, or with a dough hook (so much easier, and my preference) until the dough is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rest/sleep/be lazy for an hour (you know you still have that book to finish, so here's a good excuse to do so).
- Tear off pieces of dough of about 100g. Roll thinly, sprinkle filling on top and fold in half to enclose filling.
- Fry in a pan or on a griddle if you have one (I saw a wonderful griddle slab for a gas oven at Clicks the other day. So going to get one of those).
