Here follows the first recipe in my collection.
For one serving:
50ml Strong Espresso
150ml Milk / Cream
10 squirts Hazalnut Syrup (Approx 3 tsp)
1 tbsp Cacao (Dutch for the best and darkest quality)
1 - 2 tsp Maizina
- Brew a good batch of Espresso (feel free to make extra for you to sip while making the hot chocolate).
- Mix all the ingredients in a small pot. Please note, using cream will make a very rich mixture and you could easily divide it in 3 - 4 espresso cups for smaller servings.
- Bring up to heat and allow to thicken. The amount of maizina will determine the thickness of the chocolate. I used 1 teaspoon on the day of the blog.
